Tremco and Garland Roof Failures at Cincinnati's Little Miami Treatment Plant

A 2010 Report by the Cincinnati Metropolitan Sewer District details the condition of 15 roofs at the Little Miami Treatment Plant. Of the 15 roofs, 11 were in poor condition and between 9 to 12 years old. Of the 11 in poor condition, one was identified as a Garland Roof, 6 were Tremco and the remaining 4 were unidentified. All roofs were recommended to be either replaced or repaired with paid warranty extensions.



Cost?



For Construction & Inspections: $427,700 for 564 squares of Built-up roofing, which is $758.33/square  



For Design, Project Administration, some Constuction, Field Inspection, Interest and etc., added to Construction & Inspections costs above:  



Total cost for the 4 roof replacements and 11 roofs' repair /"warranty" extensions totals $574,100, which is $1,017.91/square.  



For Future 15 Roof Replacements: $3,208,900, which is $5,412.23/square. The costs of other manufacturers and their true No-Dollar Limit (NDL) Warranties is markedly lower.
